AMONGST THE LIVING is a deeply personal film project for writer and director Justin John Costello. Tacking subjects such as Identity, Sexuality, and Religion (Particularly the conversion of polytheism to monotheism), AMONGST THE LIVING tells the story of Markus Hutchinson, played by Christopher Robin David Gerardi (aks Brad Kalvo), a troubled man who returns to the hometown he fled years before, in order to attend the funeral for a childhood friend. Once there, he realizes that he can not keep running from his past, and that his refusal to accept who he is has had dire consequences to all those around him. Filled with a large cast of characters ranging from human to non, AMONGST THE LIVING is a film blending genres, and its story will affect all who experience it. Currently in the financing stages, the film is set to begin proper pre-production in late 2013.
